2022 Municipal election nomination period is open!

Nominations for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections are open! 

If a person wishes to run as a candidate in the 2022 municipal election in East Gwillimbury, they must file a nomination form in-person with the Elections Office. 

The next municipal and school board trustee election will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022, for the following offices:

Community Clean Up

Community Clean-up Program

The Town of East Gwillimbury is initiating its Community Clean-up Program! Help keep our neighbourhoods clean by picking up litter and debris in your community.

 EG will be organizing kits which contain:

  • EG tote bag
  • Biodegradable garbage bag
  • Disposable gloves

Residents can pick up kits at the Civic Centre customer service desk, or Sports Complex customer service desk or request to have a clean-up kit delivered to their home.

EG receives recognition for its Highway 404 Employment Corridor Secondary Plan and Financial Reporting

The Town of East Gwillimbury received top honours from the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) for its Highway 404 Employment Corridor Secondary Plan and from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Financial Report for the year ending December 31, 2020.
