The East Gwillimbury Farmers’ Market (EGFM) is three days away from the beginning of its 2021 market season, this Thursday, June 3 at the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre. Fresh local goods from a variety of vendors will available every Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the EG Civic Centre until October 7. To welcome everyone, back the Market team will be handing out welcome bags to the first 50 families who visit and 50 children’s bag for kids aged 4 to 12 who want to sign up to join the Farmer Friends...

Notice of Construction - Bathurst St.

York Region is making improvements to Bathurst Street from Green Lane to Holland Landing Road!

A road preservation treatment, called microsurfacing, will be applied to Bathurst Street. Microsurfacing is a common and cost effective way to maintain and treat roads with minor defects. The road surface can feel rougher and sound noisier after the treatment. Over time, the stones will knead together and the surface will become quieter.
Work is scheduled to begin late May and is anticipated to be completed...

COVID-19 Update - Outdoor Amenities To Open

Following yesterday's provincial announcement, the Town will be opening the following amenities for use:
  • Skate and bike parks
  • Basketball/multiuse courts
  • Tennis courts
  • Shade structures
  • Splash pads 
Please remember, team/organized sports are not permitted and users must continue to follow all COVID-19 protocols including wearing a mask and social distancing.
