East Gwillimbury breaks ground on the Health and Active Living Plaza

The Town of East Gwillimbury officially broke ground on the Health and Active Living Plaza, today. Town Council, with staff and partners gathered at the facility site, just north of the Town’s municipal office on Leslie Street, to mark the official start of construction.

Together with artist Lauri Hoeg, member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation, today, the Town of East Gwillimbury kicked off its events in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with the unveiling of a Land Acknowledgement Plaque and artwork at the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre.
