Invasive Species Awareness Week
Invasive Species Awareness Week (ISAW) runs from February 23 to March 1, 2026. An invasive species is a non-native animal, plant, insect, fungus, or pathogen that causes harm.
These species threaten biodiversity and ecological integrity, and some pose health risks to people and communities by damaging public and private property, impacting agriculture, and threatening food security, costing Ontario billions of dollars each year.
To learn more about what actions you can take, please visit the Invasive Species Centre website at invasivespeciescentre.ca.
