Resident and Non-Resident Registration Process Updates

Registration for ActiveNet users listed as an East Gwillimbury resident open a week before users not listed as a resident. East Gwillimbury ActiveNet users need to update their account address to ensure it lists “East Gwillimbury” as the city.

To do so, residents can log in to ActiveNet, select “Account Settings” and then select “Address Information,” updating the “City” field under this section.

For resident registration, the city included in your address must be "East Gwillimbury.” The system will not recognize Sharon, Mount Albert, Queensville, etc. as residential addresses.

If you require assistance, please contact our recreation team.

Inclusion Support Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Information Icon How do I know if additional support is needed?

Additional support is required if:

  • Extra support is required at school, or participant has a safety plan with their educational institution
  • A disability exists that could affect the safety of the participant or other participants
  • Extra support is required at home for basic care
  • Participant is associated with a support agency and/or program
  • There are behaviours to be assisted with (i.e. biting, scratching, pinching, slapping, etc.)

Families are required to complete an All About Me Package and provide a Safety Plan, if the participant has one, to help program staff with any program adaptations. When considering recreation experience, please consider the individuals needs, and that the recreation inclusive setting may not be suitable for all persons. The health and safety of participants and staff is paramount, which could result in participants being denied access to the program.

Support Icon Are staff available to provide support?

Yes, in most cases arrangements for one-on-one support can be made. The Town of East Gwillimbury attempts to accommodate requests for additional support for participants with disabilities. However, due to the number of requests or level of care provided, support cannot be guaranteed. Accommodations can be made and are subject to health, safety and cost considerations.

Registration Icon How do I register for inclusion support?

Follow these steps in order to register for Inclusion Support:

  1. Register for one of our programs that meets the needs, hobbies, age and interests of the participant.
  2. Connect with our Recreation Coordinator at awright@eastgwillimbury.ca to assist with filling out our required All About Me Form
Support Icon Can I provide my own inclusion support?

Yes, you may provide your own support (family member, friend, trained support worker or social worker).

We require a Vulnerable Sector Screening and a signed release of liability form for these individuals.

The support person is required to participate in all activities as a positive role model for the participants and adhere to the Town of East Gwillimbury Policies and Procedures.
