Local Older Adult Community Groups

East Gwillimbury has three older adult community groups for seniors to get involved, meet new people, and try something new in their home community. Each group offers community events and programs for everyone to participate in. Get engaged and learn more about what’s available below:

EG 55'n Up Club55'n UP Club Logo

Are you a resident of EG? Become a member of the new 55'n UP Club and benefit from discounted or free programs provided by the club in partnership with EG Community Parks, Recreation and Culture. To find out about programs, cancellations, or updates, please email the club directly at eg55nupclub@gmail.com. They also can be reached at 905-478-4283 ext. 1407. Please leave a voicemail message and your call will be returned. You can also find them on Facebook. The 55'n Up Club also has a free monthly newsletter available for pick up at The Loft (upstairs at the EG Sports Complex) or you can sign up by email to be part of the email distribution list.

Golden Anchors Seniors Club

The Golden Anchor Seniors Club (GASC) is a members-based club that is open to all residents of East Gwillimbury and district who are 50 years of age or older. The Club hosts several daily activities including bingo, cards, special luncheon events, and many other functions at the Holland Landing Community Centre in the Golden Anchor Room. Non-members may attend and participate in Club activities with additional fees and exemptions.

Mount Albert Friendship Club for Seniors

The Mount Albert Friendship Club for Seniors welcomes 55 years and older to join activities such as euchre, ice cream social, bus trips and more! Stay updated on events by calling 905-473-3305.

Community and Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS) 

CHATS is a not-for-profit organization that provides assistance to older adults, caregivers and more. to find out more information or a service that works for you, visit CHATS website or call 905-713-6596.
