Fall and Winter Health and Active Living Guide
The 2025 Fall and 2026 Winter Health and Active Living Guide is online! View the refreshed guide and find something for everyone. Fall program registration is now open for residents! Registration will open for non-residents on August 28. View the guide and register for programs at eastgwillimbury.ca/Guide. 

Burn Ban Lifted 
East Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Service (EGFES) have lifted the burn ban as of noon on August 21, 2025, and reinstated all previously approved burn permits. A burn permit is required for all open air burning in East Gwillimbury. Residents can apply for burn permits, as required, through the online portal at eastgwillimbury.ca/BurnPermit.

Carnaby Park Art
Calling all Canadian artists! EG is looking for art in Carnaby Park (80 Alvin Pegg Drive). Are you a professional, Canadian artist? Your art could be featured in EG!
The proposed artwork should explore themes that:

  • Showcase or narrate a significant aspect of Canadian history, with an emphasis on national identity and remembrance.
  • Reflect on Canada’s role in the Battle of Vimy Ridge, honouring the contributions and sacrifices made by Canadians.
  • Is visually engaging from all perspectives and constructed using durable, weather-resistant materials, to ensure longevity in an outdoor park setting.

Submit an art piece proposal for consideration in Carnaby Park by September 30, 2025, at 3 p.m. Learn more at eastgwillimbury.ca/ArtsAndCulture.
