Night paving will be taking place on Highway 11 from Morning Sideroad to Bathurst Street in the Town of East Gwillimbury and Township of King.

Night paving on Highway 11 from Morning Sideroad to Bathurst Street (east half of the road)
This work is part of the improvement project, Highway 11 from Green Lane to the Bradford Boundary

Duration

Night paving operations have been rescheduled for next week on Monday, August 18, 2025 to Friday, August 22, 2025.

East Gwillimbury Appoints Deputy Chief Cook

East Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Service (EGFES) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Cook as Deputy Chief of Operations.

Deputy Cook joined EGFES as a paid-on call firefighter in May 2004 and was later hired full-time and promoted to the rank of Captain in July 2012. Prior to joining EGFES full-time, Deputy Cook was a full-time firefighter in the Town of Georgina. Deputy Cook was appointed to the role of Acting Deputy Chief with EGFES in early 2024.
