East Gwillimbury (EG) is pleased to announce Kevin Brake as the new Director of Engineering within the Engineering and Public Works (EPW) department.

Kevin will lead EG’s team of engineering professionals, with a focus on implementing the Town’s infrastructure requirements through the next significant waves of growth, prioritizing safety and infrastructure service life, and improving the community through effective delivery of capital projects aligned with the Strategic Plan.

East Gwillimbury Secures More than $42,000 in Provincial Funding for Emergency Preparedness

East Gwillimbury (EG) is pleased to announce that it was awarded $42,638 through the Ontario Community Emergency Preparedness Grant. This funding will enhance the Town’s emergency response capabilities by providing critical equipment and training to better serve the community during emergencies.

The funding will be used to acquire:

  • Battery-powered chainsaws
  • Scene lighting to support emergency response operations
  • A wastewater pump to provide relief during flooding events
  • A drone and related staff...
