Get involved in EG’s 2024 Development Charge Reviews! 
The Town is hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, April 9 at 2 p.m., to introduce and collect feedback on the proposed Town-wide and area specific development charges by-laws and associated background studies. To share feedback, you can attend the meeting in person in the Council Chambers or virtually via the Town’s YouTube Channel. If you wish to speak during the meeting, you must register no later than April 8, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., by emailing the Clerk's Office at clerks@eastgwillimbury.ca.To provide written comments please email the Clerk’s Office at clerks@eastgwillimbury.ca.

Easter Holiday Closure
Customer Service will be closed on Friday, March 29 for Good Friday and Monday April 1 for Easter Monday. Customer Service will be open from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sports Complex on March 30. You can also submit an inquiry online anytime at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/ServiceRequest

Good Friday Waste Collection
Waste collection scheduled for Friday, March 29 will be moved to Saturday, March 30 due to Good Friday. Stay up to date on waste collection schedule changes by downloading EG’s Recycle Coach App from your App Store! Learn more at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/Waste

Notice of Aerial Application of Larvicide to Control Larval Mosquitoes
Weather permitting, beginning the week of April 2 until May 31, the biological larvicide VectoBac 200G [PCP#18158, granular formulation] will be applied by helicopter to select standing water mosquito breeding habitats within East Gwillimbury. View the treatment areas at  www.eastgwillimbury.ca/mosquito. This product contains B.t.i., which is specific to mosquito larvae. Mortality results within 24 hours; the larvicide biodegrades within 72 hours. Charity Fire and Emergency Services Hockey Game
The EG Fire and Emergency Services unofficial hockey team is back to take on the U18 A Upper York Admirals in a head-to-head charity hockey game to support the East Gwillimbury Youth and Community Initiatives Fund on April 21 at 1 p.m. at the Sports Complex. April 22 is Earth Day! East Gwillimbury is inviting you to join us for our Earth Weekend events. We have a variety of fun activities for everyone to get involved:

Community Information Session
Redwood Properties will be hosting a community information session for their Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-Law Amendment applications for 18477 Yonge Street, located north of Green Lane, next to the current Fieldgate plaza. The applications propose to permit a multi-phased mixed-use residential development on an on-site private sanitary servicing system.
