New Renovated Space for 55’n Up Residents in East Gwillimbury

(East Gwillimbury, ON) March 22, 2022 – Together with East Gwillimbury’s 55’n Up Club, the Mayor and Members of Council officially opened the renovated Loft space at the Sports Complex today.

All are welcome to celebrate the official opening of this new community space! Speeches and ribbon cutting ceremony to begin at 1:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. COVID-19 safety protocols are in place. 

When: March 22, 2022, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Where: EG Sports Complex (1914B Mount Albert Rd., Sharon)

Late January through to early March is mating season for coyotes. You may hear them howling or yipping to communicate or see more of them as they actively seek out a mate. 

Coyotes generally do not pose a danger to people but can pose a danger to pets - namely cats and small dogs who can be injured or killed. We ask residents who live or walk near a typical coyote habitat (including ravines, forests and open spaces) to take extra caution during this time.

The Town’s mosquito control program is scheduled to begin in April, weather permitting. The program consists of the application of a biological larvicide (VectoBac 200G [PCP#18158, granular formulation]), by helicopter, to standing water mosquito breeding habitats within the Town.

Property owners within the treatment areas were mailed objection forms. If you object to having Vectobac applied to your property, please complete the objection form by March 25, 2022. No response is required if you support...

  • Ridge View Park Outdoor Rink
  • Vivian Creek Park Trail
  • Shannon Park Trail
  • Nokiidaa Trail bridge (at Green Lane)
