 June is Recreation Month
June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM) and EG wants to get you moving with our recreation month contest! Grab an activity passport at any of our recreation month programs or the Sports Complex and receive a participation stamp for each program you attend. Youth and Community Initiatives Fund
EG’s Youth and Community Initiatives Fund has funding available from the 2022-23 funding year. The Grant Funding program offers grants to not-for profit organizations and schools, whose programs/ work support EG. Learn more or apply by June 30, 2023 at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/YCIF

Leslie Street Construction
York Region is replacing a culvert on Leslie Street, north of Green Lane. The road will remain open to traffic in both directions and access to all homes and businesses will be maintained. Temporary lane reductions may be required Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learn more at www.york.ca/RoadConstruction

Do you use Vivian Creek Trail?
EG is gathering public feedback related to the closed portion of trail along Vivian Creek Trail and the impact of permanently closing this portion of the trail. This portion of the natural trail was closed due to a deteriorating retaining wall which created unsafe conditions. Share your thoughts by May 25 at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/VivianCreek

Shannon Tennis Court Construction
The Shannon Park tennis courts and walkway are closed for tennis court and pathway resurfacing. Shannon Trail can still be accessed via Shannon Road.

Ross Family Complex and Mount Albert Library Parking lot Closure
The Ross Family Complex parking lot is closed until May 29 (weather permitting) for paving. During the closure, visitors may park at Vivian Creek Park (19253 Centre Street). We apologize for any inconvenience.
