Victoria Day Closure
The Civic Centre will be closed on Monday, May 22, for the Victoria Day holiday. If you have an emergency with regards to water, sewers, or roads, please call 905-478-4282 and press option 3.

Shannon Park Tennis Court Closure
The Shannon Park tennis courts will be closed for tennis court and pathway resurfacing. The walkway to Shannon Park will be blocked, however, access to the trail will not be affected.

Do you use the Vivian Creek Trail?
EG is gathering public feedback related to the closed portion of trail along Vivian Creek Trail. This portion of the natural trail was closed due to a deteriorating retaining wall which created unsafe conditions. The Town would like feedback from local residents to evaluate the impact of permanently closing this portion of the trail. Share your thoughts at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/VivianCreek

Ross Family Complex and Mount Albert Library Parking Lot Closure
The Ross Family Complex parking lot is closed until May 29 (weather permitting) for paving. During the closure, visitors may park at Vivian Creek Park (19253 Centre Street). We apologize for any inconvenience.

Construction Notice - Yonge Street
Construction on Yonge Street from Davis Drive to Green Lane will begin this month. Yonge Street will remain open with access to homes and businesses. Traffic impacts will include:

  • Lane reductions during off-peak travel times
  • Temporary sidewalk and bus stop relocations
  • Temporary lane shifts to move traffic around work areas

Yard Waste Collection
Yard waste collection takes place every other week. Please place yard waste in paper, compostable bags or open top containers (labelled with yellow yard waste stickers) at the side of the street with the rest of your collection bins. Bag tags for waste collection can be purchased at the Civic Centre or Sports Complex Customer Service desks during regular business hours, while supplies lasts.
