Committee of the Whole Council (CWC) – 10 a.m. June 17
The Southlake Foundation will present the Committee with the Mayor’s Challenge Trophy in recognition of Team EG’s fundraising efforts in support of Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake, 2025. A photo opportunity will take place before the CWC meeting.
Development Services will share a presentation and report on the Zoning By-law Review.
Fire and Emergency Service will welcome a presentation from the Office of the Fire Marshal, on Establishing and Regulating By-laws and Levels of Service.
Corporate Services will share a presentation and report on the Town’s Service Experience Strategy, and a presentation and report on the Town’s IT Strategy.
As part of the meeting agenda, the Committee will proceed into a closed meeting.

Zoning By-law Update
East Gwillimbury (EG) has initiated a review and update of the Town’s Zoning By-law to ensure conformity with applicable provincial, regional and municipal legislation. A public open house will be held on June 25, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. (presentation followed by Q&A with staff) at the EG Sports Complex (Canada Hall A) 1914B Mt Albert Rd, Sharon. Fill By-law Update
East Gwillimbury is working on an updated Site Alteration and Fill By-law. An updated by-law is required to ensure the by-law is current, aligned with Ministries regulations and includes best practices. Learn more about the proposed changes or share your feedback at eastgwillimbury.ca/FillBylaw.

Smoke and CO Alarm Program
Every year EG Fire and Emergency Service (EGFES) conducts the annual Smoke and CO alarm program, which runs until October. The EGFES team will test all smoke alarms and CO alarms to make sure they are in good working condition and answer any other fire related questions you have. Temporary Road Closure on Mount Albert Road
There will be a temporary road closure on Mount Albert Road between Highway 48 and King Street to facilitate work on the existing bridge structures and for the reconstruction of the Highway 48 and Mount Albert Road intersection. This closure is being led by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO). The closure is planned to take place from June 16 at 7 a.m. to August 16, 2025 at 7 p.m.
