New Trails Coming to York Region
York Region purchased land to create the Sutton Hill/Zephyr Rail Trails. The Town will work with the Region to rehabilitate the trail to ensure it is safe for users. Further communications will be shared with the public once the trail is available for use.

Get involved with EG’s Transportation and Water/Wastewater Master Plan update!
You're invited to our joint Public Information Centre on Wednesday, April 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Civic Centre, 19000 Leslie Street, Sharon to review draft recommendations and share your feedback. In accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, both master plans will create a sustainable blueprint for growth and infrastructure in EG until 2051.

Yonge Street remains closed to through traffic for the construction of a retaining wall and road surface improvements and is expected to reopen in May 2023.
Old Yonge Street was previously closed, with access for local traffic only. Despite the closure, travellers continue to use the road. Due to wet weather and increased traffic volumes the road condition has deteriorated and cannot accommodate the traffic. A full road closure is now necessary to ensure the safety of all travellers.
