Yesterday, East Gwillimbury (EG) Council adopted the 2022 to 2026 Strategic Plan. The Plan will guide the next four years of EG to ensure we continue to deliver programs and services that support a sustainable future for our growing community where residents and businesses thrive.

Work on this project started in 2021 to help better York Region travellers and the relationship between East Gwillimbury and Newmarket. This will benefit all drivers, cyclists, runners and walkers. This improvement project will take place in stages to alleviate traffic to drivers and pedestrians. The anticipated project completion will be in late 2026.

The Howard Ave. and Mount Albert Rd. intersection will be partially closed, with no turning access onto Howard Ave. beginning on Monday, May 1, weather permitting.
