East Gwillimbury (EG) is excited to enjoy a vibrant summer season full of events, activities, and family fun! The countdown is on for our signature events set to return this summer with a twist! Everyone is invited to experience our free line-up of summer events and explore our community parks and trails. Save the dates and join us for upcoming events:
Canada Day
Enjoy our classic Canada Day event on July 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Mount Albert Lions Community Centre (5057 Mount Albert Rd.). Join us for live music, strolling performers, food ($), entertainment including inflatables, glitter tattoos, face painting, soccer-themed skills demonstrations and a World Cup-inspired fireworks show at 10 p.m. Complimentary shuttles will be available to and from the event at the Health and Active Living Plaza (HALP) (160 Jim Mortson Dr.), Ross Family Complex (19300 Centre St.), and Mount Albert Community Centre (53 Main St.). Music and Market Nights
We’re merging two of EG’s favourite events into one of the hottest events of the summer. Join us every Tuesday in July and August from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Civic Centre (19000 Leslie St.) for live bands, artisan vendors, local businesses and delicious food. Celebrating the Arts
In honour of Ontario Culture Days, join us for a community-wide celebration of the art, culture, and heritage that make EG so special! Drop in for immersive activities, vibrant art displays, Vendor Market and delicious food ($) for the whole family to enjoy. The event will be held on September 26 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sharon Museum and Gardens (18974 Leslie St.) and the HALP. We’re looking for activations to join our event that showcase a broad and dynamic mix of artistic and cultural experiences.
