Holland Landing Yonge Street Revitalization Project Nears Completion The Holland Landing Yonge Street Revitalization project is taking shape, bringing exciting improvements to our community! Several improvements are taking shape in the area, including decorative streetlights, new landscaping, upgraded sidewalks, and a multi-use path that will support walking, cycling, and other active modes of transportation. Work continues on the final section between Bradford Street/Thompson Drive and Doane Road, with reopening anticipated in early October. The upcoming work includes paving, landscaping, new traffic signals, a pedestrian crossover, line painting, and the opening of a new pedestrian bridge. As we move closer to the finish line and the project's expected completion in late 2026, we want to thank our residents, local businesses, and visitors for your patience throughout construction. Snow Removal Financial Assistance Program Applications are now open for EG seniors and residents with disabilities for the Snow Removal Financial Assistance Program. The program helps eligible residents offset the cost of hiring a service provider to remove snow from their driveways and/or walkways during the 2026 to 2027 winter season. Eligible residents may qualify for a $150 grant. Funding is available for up to 75 residents on a first-come, first-served basis. The Municipal Election is Coming – Start Planning Now The 2026 Municipal Election is approaching, and now is the perfect time to start planning how you'll vote. Voting in EG takes place from 10 a.m. on October 16 until 8 p.m. on October 26, 2026, giving eligible voters the flexibility to cast their ballot online throughout the voting period or in person on select dates. Vote on East Gwillimbury's Official "I Voted" Sticker Design! EG students in Grades 4 to 6 were invited to show their creativity by designing an official "I Voted" sticker for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. After reviewing the submissions, we selected a final set of designs, and now it's your turn to choose the winner! Residents can now view the final designs and vote for their favourite sticker on the Town’s Facebook or Instagram pages. The winning design will be distributed to voters during the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. |

Learn, Play, and Stay Active: Fall Registration Open Missed the start of the season? There’s still time to register for select fall recreation programs and activities. Explore available options and join in on the fun this fall! Program highlights include:
- Parent and Me Gymnastics (ages 2 to 4): Children will develop fundamental movement skills through fun circuits and obstacle courses using real gymnastics equipment; parent participation is required.

Haunted Halloween Hike Join us on October 23 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Sharon Temple Museum and Gardens (18974 Leslie Street) for our annual Haunted Halloween Hike! Dress in your favourite costume and enjoy an evening of Halloween fun, including a walk through the spooky trail, live music, a dance party, interactive entertainment along the trail, and shopping at the Mystical Market featuring local vendors and artisans. New this year, guests can gather under the stars to enjoy a screening of Halloweentown (1998) beginning at 6:30 p.m. This free event takes place entirely outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
