National Drowning Prevention Week National Drowning Prevention Week (NDPW) runs from July 19 to 25. Designated by the Lifesaving Society, this year’s campaign theme is "Prepare to be Water Smart". The week focuses on planning ahead, building skills, and making safe choices around open water, pools, and recreational boating.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit the Aquatics Team at Music and Market Night on July 14. Participants had the opportunity to take the NDPW Water Smart Pledge and meet Buddy the Lifeguard, the Lifesaving Society's mascot.
Want to build your water safety skills? There is still limited availability in our summer swim lessons.
