Highlights from the July 25 Council meeting:

Town Wins Financial Reporting Award - EG received the Canadian Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association for the 2021 Annual Financial Report. Get Involved with EG’s Master Trails Plan - The Town is hosting three Public Open House meetings on September 14, 20, and 21 to discuss updates to the 2012 Active Transportation and Trails Master Plan. During the meetings, residents will learn more about the project, review mapping and speak with the project team. Learn more at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/ATTMP

Vivian Creek Hiking Trails and Storm Outfalls Update - Staff presented the results of the Vivian Creek feedback survey, which supports maintaining the existing section of the trail. As a next step, staff will prepare a design Request for Proposal which will include investigations, a plan for construction access, public consultation, and detailed design for the storm outfalls and a design concept for the trail. Civic Holiday Closure

The Civic Centre will be closed on Monday, August 7 for the Civic Holiday and will reopen Tuesday, August 8. If you have an emergency with regards to water, sewers, or roads, please call 905-478-4282 and press option 3.

It’s hot out there EG. Beat the heat at a Town facility or one of our splash pads:

Customer Service is Temporarily Downstairs
Our Customer Service team has temporarily moved to the downstairs atrium within the Civic Centre to complete renovations. Customer Service is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents can park at the front or back entrance and an elevator is available to access the temporary desk.

Shannon Park Tennis Courts are Open
Construction at the Shannon Park Tennis Courts is complete and are open for public use. Minor landscaping is still being completed so please be mindful when walking in the area. 

Submit your Environmental EG Photos

Bradford Bypass Feedback
Share your thoughts on the Bradford Bypass, a 16.3-kilometre freeway connecting Highway 400 and Highway 404. The Updated Draft Environmental Impact Assessment Report is available for public review and feedback until August 14, 2023, at www.bradfordbypass.ca
