A look back –
April 15, 2025 – Committee of the Whole Council (CWC) – 2 p.m.
The Sharon Museum and Gardens made a presentation on their proposed plans for a visitor centre.
Parks, Recreation and Culture (PRC) brought forward a report on the Civic Centre Precinct concept plans to request a public consultation phase. PRC also brought forward a report for Events of Municipal Significance.
Engineering and Public Works (EPW) shared a presentation on EG’s Fill By-law updates and a report with the proposed updates. They also shared the 2024 Annual Fill Program (Site Alteration) Update.
EPW and PRC brought forward a joint report for additional electric vehicle charging stations within EG, in coordination with the Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Program grant program.
Finance brought forward a report on Development Charge Deferral Policies and a Statement of Development Charge Reserve Funds.
Two Development Services memos were on the agenda: one for a proposed zoning by-law amendment at 21383 Woodbine Avenue and one for a proposed site plan control application at 17743 McCowan Road.

Civic Centre Closure
The Civic Centre will be closed on Friday, April 18 for Good Friday and Monday, April 21 for Easter Monday. The Civic Centre will reopen on Tuesday, April 22 at 8:30 a.m. If you have an emergency with regards to water, sewers, or roads, please call 905-478-4282 and press option 3. Yard Waste Collection
Waste Collection that is scheduled for Friday, April 18 will be moved to Saturday, April 19 due to Good Friday. Get instant alerts about collections through the Recycle Coach app! Download the app at eastgwillimbury.ca/Waste.
Mosquito Control Program
Our mosquito control program will begin on April 17 (weather permitting) in Holland Landing and will continue into Mount Albert through the week. A helicopter will be dropping a safe larvicide to standing water mosquito breeding areas in EG.

Easter Bunny Hike
Join us this SATURDAY from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for our annual Easter Bunny Hike! The hike will be held at the Mount Albert Community Centre (53 Main Street). Enjoy:
Make sure to bring a basket for treats! Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for the Holland Landing Food Pantry at the event.
Please note that this is an outdoor event, and will run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. The parking lot is being used as part of the event, making parking limited. Minimal street parking is available.

Take free seeds for your garden! Select from a variety of vegetable, fruit, and native plant seeds. The Seed Library is free to access with an East Gwillimbury Public Library card at the Holland Landing branch. Please take up to five packets per visit.
