The 2015 approved budget focuses on maintaining core services such as roads, winter maintenance, bridges, sidewalks, parks, libraries and garbage collection. The total tax levy increase is 2.2 per cent, which is equal to approximately $31 per year for the average home.

In addition, the Town continues its commitment to enhancing community safety by hiring additional full-time firefighters through a dedicated funding plan supported by Council to advance the Master Fire Plan. This will enhance 24/7 Emergency Services coverage for all Town residents. The dedicated levy increase for 2015 is 1.75% or approximately $25 for the average homeowner.
