The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) offers Commissioner of Oaths services (sometimes referred to as Commissioner for Taking Affidavits).

The document is presented to the Commissioner to affirm that the contents are true.

The Town also provides certified documents. These documents are generally requested when copies of identification or documents require a “Certified True Copy” statement.

Related fees
  • Commissioner of Oaths signature $24.20 for the 1st document and $6.10 for each additional document, plus HST.
  • Certified Documents $24.20 for the 1st document and $6.10 for each additional document, plus HST.

NOTE: Proof of life pension forms are exempt from this fee.

Documents that may require a Commissioner of Oaths signature, but not limited to, include:

  • Ministry of Transportation forms to transfer ownership between family members
  • Pension documents
  • Banking documents
  • General affidavits
  • Some court documents
  • Lost Passport forms
  • School immunization forms
