A band on stage looking out to a crowd

This summer, two of East Gwillimbury (EG)’s most popular events, the EG Artisan and Farmers Market and Music Nights, are coming together to create an exciting new experience, Music and Market Nights.

Join us every Tuesday evening in July and August from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Civic Centre, 19000 Leslie Street. The new event combines two of EG’s popular summer events to create an exciting weekly event for residents and visitors to enjoy live music, local food and shopping all in one place.

Each week, enjoy live performances on the New Roads Stage, featuring opening acts from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and headliners from 7 to 9 p.m.:

  • July 7 – Taylor Made Band
  • July 14 – The Beresfords
  • July 21 – Freedom Train
  • July 28 – Keep the Faith (Bon Jovi Tribute)
  • August 4 – Rob Watts Band
  • August 11 – A Little Jagged (Alanis Morissette Tribute)
  • August 18 – Mudmen
  • August 25 – Summer of ’69 (Bryan Adams Tribute)

While you enjoy the music, stroll through the Vendor Market from 4 to 9 p.m., where you can support local vendors, enjoy delicious food and discover unique goods. It’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening with friends, family and neighbours. To ensure you can enjoy the event comfortably, arrive early, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and dress for an outdoor event.

“All of our events bring the community together, and the launch of Music and Market Nights is another way we’re making that happen,” says Mayor Virginia Hackson. “We’re thrilled to create this new event for everyone to discover local talent, support small businesses and enjoy great entertainment all in one place.”

Vendor and performer applications are now open, and early bird vendor pricing ends March 27. Learn more about weekly performers, vendor opportunities and sponsorship information on our Music and Market page.

There’s so much to do and enjoy this summer in EG, you won’t want to miss a beat!
