Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas tree collection takes place on your collection day from January 10 to 13, 2023. Please remove all decorations, nails, tree stands, and plastic tree bags. Please ensure that trees are easily accessible, crews will not dig or climb a snow bank to retrieve a tree.

Winter Parking Reminders
Winter and snowy weather is approaching. During winter weather residents are asked to:

  • Not park on the street when it’s snowing to allow access for snow clearing operations
  • Follow the three-hour parking limit and do not park on roads overnight from 2 to 6 a.m.
  • Ensure vehicles do not overhang onto sidewalks or roads when parked to allow access for snow clearing operations.

Clothing Depot and Food Pantry
The St. James Apostle Church provides free clothing and food to anyone in need. Open Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon, in the house next to the church. Donations can be left in the donation box beside the house.


Economic Development Image

Digital Skills for Business is a free, educational workshop series that focuses on building your business’s online presence. Topics include social media, digital marketing, e-commerce, Google Ads, Facebook Meta and Google Analytics.

Want to put your digital skills to work for your business? Just drop-in. Participants will have the opportunity to attend four practical drop-in sessions in Georgina and East Gwillimbury, as well as an “Ask Me Anything” session with a marketing expert.

Individuals who attend at least six of the eight workshops are eligible for an Innovation York Certificate of Completion from York University. Ready to get started?
