November Upcycled
Do you have lots of bits and bobs lying around? Give those old, broken or discarded items a new life with November Upcycled in EG. In partnership with the East Gwillimbury Public Library (EGPL), we have a series of free workshops lined up to help get you started:
Registration for the workshops is required; visit eastgwillimbuy.ca/EnvironmentalAction.
Remembrance Day Service
Lest we forget. Each year on Remembrance Day we gather as a community to honour soldiers who made and continue to make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Please join us on November 11 at 10:40 a.m. outside the Civic Centre (19000 Leslie Street) on the front lawn where our Cenotaph is located as we honour our heroes. Support our local Royal Canadian Legion by purchasing and wearing a poppy. Learn more by visiting eastgwillimbury.ca/RemembranceDay.
Santa Claus Parade, Holiday Market and Tree Lighting
Santa is jingling all the way to EG! We need you to help spread the holiday spirit. Join us for an afternoon of welcoming the holidays with a parade, Holiday Market, free skating and photos with Santa on November15.
Watch the parade starting at 3 p.m. at the Civic Centre and ending at the EG Sports Complex (1914B Mount Albert Road), find a spot anywhere along the route and don’t forget to bring non-perishable food items or new unwrapped toys for donation and your letters for Santa.
