Natural Outdoor Rinks

All Outdoor Rinks are closed for the remainder of the year. Please stay off the ice surface and follow all posted signage in the area.

East Gwillimbury installs and maintains two non-refrigerated, natural outdoor skating rinks each winter. Rinks are located in Holland Landing at Ridge View Park, 16 Pear Blossom Way and in Mount Albert at the Mount Albert Community Centre, 53 Main Street.

Rinks are installed in early January after a minimum of one week of consistent double-digit negative temperatures (-10C and below) to build safe and durable ice surfaces.

When open, residents are welcome to use the rinks at their leisure from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Each location features overhead lighting for evening skating that turns on at the push of a button. We encourage skaters to always wear CSA-approved helmets and to limit their ice time to 30 minutes to allow others to enjoy the rinks. Please view the Outdoor Rink Rules to safely enjoy the ice.
