(East Gwillimbury, ON) June 1, 2021 - On Friday, May 28th, the Government of Canada announced it is investing over $192,000 through the Universal Broadband Fund to bring high-speed Internet to residents of rural communities in East Gwillimbury and Vaughan in partnership with Bell. The East Gwillimbury portion of the project will provide a fibre-based, high speed internet to 44 underserved homes in the Callwood Court area of Ward Three.

The East Gwillimbury Farmers’ Market (EGFM) is three days away from the beginning of its 2021 market season, this Thursday, June 3 at the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre. Fresh local goods from a variety of vendors will available every Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the EG Civic Centre until October 7. York Region is making improvements to Bathurst Street from Green Lane to Holland Landing Road!
A road preservation treatment, called microsurfacing, will be applied to Bathurst Street. Microsurfacing is a common and cost effective way to maintain and treat roads with minor defects. The road surface can feel rougher and sound noisier after the treatment. Over time, the stones will knead together and the surface will become quieter.
