October 3 Meeting
Multi-use Path
The Town has been working on the development of a multi-use path through the Yonge Street corridor and a portion of the trail between Mount Albert Road and School Street in Holland Landing is being proposed to be shifted to the east side of Yonge Street. This path will be part of the future lake to lake trail and will include a crossing at School Street to connect to the path on the west side of Yonge Street. Housing Target and Strong Mayor Powers - Council will be discussing the provincially assigned housing target and Strong Mayor Powers on October 11 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. The public is invited to watch the meeting in-person or via livestream at www.youtube.com/TownEastGwillimbury. If you wish to provide comments on this matter, you can email your thoughts or a request to make a deputation by noon on Friday, October 6, 2023 by visiting the Town’s website www.eastgwillimbury.ca/deputations or emailing clerks@eastgwillimbury.ca.

Road Closure
Due to site conditions, the temporary road closure of Kennedy Road from Mount Albert Road to Doane Road has been extended to Tuesday, October 31. Work to replace the bridge continues and York Region will provide updates when the road reopens. Work may be rescheduled due to weather, visit www.york.ca for more information.

Fire Prevention Week is from October 8 to 14
Cooking safety starts with you! Pay attention to fire prevention, is this year’s theme which focuses on cooking safety and educating the public about important steps they can take to help reduce the risk of fire when cooking at home, keeping themselves and loved ones safe.
