Waste Collection Changes due to The Canada Day Holiday
Residents who have Friday waste collection will have their collection moved to Saturday, July 2, 2022 due to the Canada Day holiday.

Firework Safety
As Canada Day approaches, we want to remind residents about the importance of firework safety. It’s best to leave firework displays to the professionals, but if you are going to light your own, remember:

  • never use near combustibles
  • keep kids and pets away
  • keep water or fire extinguisher near
  • don’t forget about your furry friends. Find a safe place for them and use a noise machine or TV to help keep them calm
  • sparklers can burn at 1200F and cause severe burns
  • many firework-related injuries are preventable

Waste Collection Changes - Back to Two
Starting July 5, EG will return to its two bag/item garbage collection limit. Waste over the two bag/item limit will require a collection tag. To purchase collection tags, please visit Customer Service at the Civic Centre. For more information, visit www.eastgwillimbury.ca/Waste

Slow down, it’s Turtle Season
It’s turtle season and we are reminding you to slow down and watch out for turtles near or on roads. Turtles like to nest in the gravel on the shoulder of our roads and it’s up to us to help keep them and their babies safe. Learn more at www.LSRCA.on.ca
