Council Highlights from the June 6 meeting

Subdivision Construction at 2nd Concession and Mount Albert Road
- Subdivision construction will begin in late June on the property located at the southwest corner of 2nd Concession and Mount Albert Road. The first phase will involve reconstructing the existing Good Shepherd Catholic Elementary School entrance to municipal road standard. The second phase will involve earthworks within the lands east of the school. A temporary entrance for access to the school through the summer will be constructed north of the existing school entrance.

Summer Mosquito Control Program - Council approved a summer mosquito control program to be applied to Town owned lands. This application will help control the mosquito population along specific Town trails and in parks. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

Improvements to Queensville Elementary School
York Region District School Board has submitted an application to update Queensville Elementary School (135 Walter English Drive) to accommodate 638 students and a two-classroom childcare centre. For more information, visit www.eastgwillimbury.ca/QueensvilleSchool

Youth and Community Initiatives Fund
EG’s Youth and Community Initiatives Fund has funding available from the 2022-23 funding year. The Grant Funding program offers grants to not-for profit organizations and schools, whose programs/ work support EG. Learn more or apply by June 30, 2023 at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/YCIF
