The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) continues to invest in safer neighbourhoods and streets through the Safer Streets Program, an initiative focused on improving road safety for pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and all road users.
The program combines engineering improvements, soft traffic calming measures, education, and enforcement initiatives to create safer and more walkable communities across EG. The Safer Streets Program is guided by traffic studies, resident feedback, best practices, and ongoing monitoring of road conditions throughout the community.
