Raccoon behind tree

With an increase in injured wildlife removal requests, East Gwillimbury and the Town of Aurora have entered into a pilot project agreement for the removal of injured and sick wildlife. The Town of Aurora will provide injured wildlife removal services in EG until October 31, 2022.

Staff will also enter into an agreement with Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge. The refuge treats and rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife with the goal of releasing healthy animals back into their natural habitat.

To report injured or sick wildlife, please call 1-877-979-PAWS or send an email.

This pilot project was approved by Council at the May 3 meeting.
