Council highlights from the September 9 meeting

Additional Wastewater Servicing - Under a Tri-Party Agreement, between the Town, The Regional Municipality of York, and the Sharon West Landowners Group, additional wastewater servicing capacity will be made available to +/- 405 homes by the construction of an in-line storage solution. The In-Line Solution is a temporary measure to provide additional servicing capacity until the Province approves the construction of the UYSS or an alternative servicing solution. The additional servicing capacity will support the development of homes in the Sharon West community. Home construction is anticipated to begin in 2023, depending on the market.

Remarks from Councillor Persechini - Councillor Persechini delivered remarks about his time as Ward 2 Councillor. The Councillor will not be seeking re-election at this year’s Municipal Election on October 24, 2022. The full statement is available on the Town’s website.
