Council highlights from the September 9 meeting
Additional Wastewater Servicing - Under a Tri-Party Agreement, between the Town, The Regional Municipality of York, and the Sharon West Landowners Group, additional wastewater servicing capacity will be made available to +/- 405 homes by the construction of an in-line storage solution. The In-Line Solution is a temporary measure to provide additional servicing capacity until the Province approves the construction of the UYSS or an alternative servicing solution. The additional servicing capacity will support the development of homes in the Sharon West community. Home construction is anticipated to begin in 2023, depending on the market.

Business Plan Bootcamp
The Business Plan Bootcamp is an eight-week, free entrepreneurship education program that assists aspiring and existing business owners with writing and developing their business plans. The program offers weekly workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities and is open to entrepreneurs ages 18 and older who live in northern York Region, primarily EG, Georgina, and the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nations. Get Ready to Vote
We’re introducing new voting methods for the Municipal Election on October 24, 2022. Online voting will be available 24/7 from 12 a.m. on October 8 to 12 p.m. on October 23. In-person voting is available during the advance voting period and on election day, using paper ballots. Online voting will also be available at voting locations.
