Beginning Monday, April 6, 2026, York Region is making urgent repairs to a failed culvert crossing at Ravenshoe Road and Kennedy Road in the Town of East Gwillimbury and Town of Georgina. Temporary road closures are required to complete this work.   

As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather or to accommodate other work underway in the area. 

Planned Work: 
A culvert will be replaced on Ravenshoe Road and the area will be restored.

Service impacts are anticipated, travellers may experience the following: 

  • Ravenshoe Road at Kennedy Road will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 6
  • Only local traffic will be permitted on Ravenshoe Road from Warden Avenue to McCowan Road and Kennedy Road from Glenwoods Avenue to Holborn Road
  • Access to homes will be maintained
