Notice of Construction - Kennedy Road, Ravenshoe Road and Woodbine Avenue

York Region will be completing road improvements from mid-April to September 2024 at:

• Kennedy Road from Mount Albert Road to Pollock Road
• Ravenshoe Road from Kennedy Road to Highway 48
• Woodbine Avenue from Old Homestead Road to south of Baseline Road

Traces of asbestos are present in the current asphalt on Woodbine Avenue and Ravenshoe Road. The risk of exposure to asbestos for workers and bystanders is low. As a precaution, York Region’s contractor will take protective measures during removal of existing asphalt containing traces of asbestos.

Work will occur on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane closures are required. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.
