Road construction

York Region is making improvements to Bathurst Street from Green Lane to Holland Landing Road!

A road preservation treatment, called microsurfacing, will be applied to Bathurst Street. Microsurfacing is a common and cost effective way to maintain and treat roads with minor defects. The road surface can feel rougher and sound noisier after the treatment. Over time, the stones will knead together and the surface will become quieter.
Work is scheduled to begin late May and is anticipated to be completed by end of July 2021. As with all projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or delays related to COVID-19 Public Health guidelines. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.

Bathurst Street will remain open to traffic and access to residences and businesses will be maintained. However, to accommodate construction, lane reductions may be required on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To minimize impact to those travelling in the area, night work will be completed Monday to Saturday, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
