COVID-19 Updates and Information

Step Three in EG

The Town is working to resume high priority appointment-based services with an emphasis on those that cannot be provided virtually or were previously suspended. Residents can continue to drop off payments at the Town’s drop box (located outside of the Civic Centre) for, blue or green bins, fire permits, or animal licenses for more information, visit our What is Available page.

Second Dose Eligibility

As of Wednesday, July 21, York Region COVID-19 vaccination clinics will accept first and second dose walk-ins for all eligible  individuals who live, work or attend school in York Region. To see a list of clinic locations, visit www.york.ca/COVID19Vaccine

Notice of Application to Remove Holding Symbol

Town Council will consider passing a by-law to remove a holding symbol at the July 27, 2021 Council Meeting for the purposes of constructing 9 single detached homes. The holding symbol is in place to restrict development until servicing is made available. Under the Sustainable Development Incentive Program, the lands shown in the map has obtained additional servicing from York Region. Noise and Firearm Discharge By-law Updates

The Town of East Gwillimbury is undergoing a review of its Noise and Firearm Discharge By-laws. Proposed updates to the noise by-law include noise readings, aggregate site operation times, a new noise exemption process and more. The new Firearm Discharge By-law is focused on expanded mapping to outline urban non-discharge areas within the Town. Visit our by-law page for more information and to provide feedback!

Return to Ice Programs

Sharpen your skates EG! Public skating programs will take place Monday to Friday from August 3 to September 3 at the EG Sports Complex. Residents can register for Public Skating, Parent and Tot Skate, Adult Shinny and Hockey Clinics. For more information, visit www.eastgwillimbury.ca/publicskating

Outdoor Adult Fitness

James Anglican Church Food Pantry - Open every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon, located at 18804 Leslie Street. Residents can drop in to the food pantry for assistance, if you require clothing, please call 905-478-1959 to make arrangements for pick-up.
