Guide Rail Improvements - Davis Drive/McCowan Road to Highway 48

York Region will be working at various locations along Davis Drive from McCowan Road to Highway 48 in East Gwillimbury and Whitchurch-Stouffville to improve rail guides from September 2023 until October 2023.

Project Description:

• York Region is improving the steel beam guide rail at various locations along Davis Drive from McCowan Road to Highway 48
• Guide rails provide a barrier between the roadway and potentially hazardous situations
• This work includes removing, replacing and repairing the guide rails and ensure that they meet current standards and increase safety for road users

Impacts to travellers:

• Work will occur on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions may be required to complete improvements
• Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
