Soccer fans, get ready to bring your Team Canada spirit and join your community at the Health and Active Living Plaza (HALP), located at 160 Jim Mortson Drive, for two exciting community soccer watch parties this month in partnership with the EG Soccer Club.
Residents and visitors are invited to gather with friends, family, and fellow fans to enjoy the matches on the big screen and bring the red and white spirit to the HALP gymnasium on:
“These watch parties are a great opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate the excitement of soccer, and enjoy a shared viewing experience,” says Mayor Virginia Hackson. “Our community is behind Team Canada, and I look forward to bringing that energy and excitement to the Health and Active Living Plaza.”
The indoor watch parties can accommodate up to 300 fans. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair or blanket to watch comfortably. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase in the facility from Zoup, which will be open during each event. If you prefer to bring your own gameday snacks, remember that glass containers are not permitted in the gym.
Can’t attend a watch party? Matches will also be livestreamed at the HALP and EG Sports Complex (1914B Mount Albert Rd.) throughout the tournament. Let’s show Team Canada that EG is rooting for them! For more information, visit eastgwillimbury.ca/GoCanada.
