The Town of East Gwillimbury is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie Clark as Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Prevention, Public Education, Professional Standards, and Emergency Management with East Gwillimbury Fire
and Emergency Service (EGFES).
Ms. Clark will join EGFES on September 14, 2026, bringing more than 20 years of progressive fire-service leadership experience across fire suppression, fire prevention, public education, emergency management, communications, investigations, and provincial fire-safety leadership.
“We are pleased to welcome Carrie to East Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Service,” said Fire Chief Cory Mainprize. “Her depth of experience, collaborative and people-centred leadership, and strong commitment to community risk reduction will support our continued delivery of exceptional fire protection services. Carrie’s focus on developing people, strengthening organizations, and building partnerships will help make East Gwillimbury safer and more
resilient.”
Most recently, Ms. Clark served as Deputy Fire Marshal with the Office of the Fire Marshal, where she provided oversight of Field Advisory Services, Fire Investigation Services, and Technical Services. Previously, she served as Deputy Fire Chief with Barrie Fire and Emergency Service, overseeing its Fire Prevention, Public Education, and Communications divisions.
