New Year's Eve

East Gwillimbury has made the difficult decision to cancel its Noon Year’s Eve event due to the rise of COVID-19 cases. The Town extends thanks and appreciation to the event sponsors, volunteers, and staff for all their efforts in planning this event.

Although the event is cancelled, the Town still has many activities, parks, and trails for residents to enjoy over the holidays.

  • Public skating - Drop-in public skating is available at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex from December 27 to 31. Please note that capacity limits apply.
  • Drop-in Ice Programs – Adult Shinny, Parent & Tot, Ticket Ice, Stick and Puck and Senior Shinny are being offered at a variety of times between Dec 27 to 31. Please note capacity limits apply.
  • Drop-in activities - Enjoy a variety of drop-in activities at the Ross Family Complex for all age groups.
  • Explore EG parks and trails - Enjoy a wintery walk outdoors on one of the EG parks or trails. To find a park or trail near you, visit our Parks and Trails page.    
  • Geocaching - Learn something new this holiday season and try Geocaching. To get started, visit www.ontariotrails.on.ca/geocaching

For all in-door activities, participants must use a face mask and practice physical distancing. Participants over the age of 12 must be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is required.
