East Gwillimbury Announces New Director of People and Belonging

East Gwillimbury (EG) is pleased to welcome Robyn Hulowski as the new Director of People and Belonging for the Town.

Robyn will join the Town on October 5, 2026, and brings expertise in talent and succession management, employee and labour relations, IIDEA (Indigeneity, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility), Health and Safety, and strategic leadership.

People and Belonging is EG’s Human Resources branch. It was renamed to reflect the values of the Town, ensuring that employees feel welcome and part of EG’s culture of belonging.

“We are thrilled to welcome Robyn to East Gwillimbury,” said Chief Administrative Officer Mark Valcic. “She brings a depth of knowledge and experience that will help build on the great work already underway with our People and Belonging team. East Gwillimbury was recognized as a top employer in the GTA in 2025, and Robyn’s leadership will help us continue building on that success while fostering a culture of municipal excellence and belonging across the Town.”

Robyn brings more than 15 years of human resources leadership experience, primarily within municipal government and public health systems. Robyn was most recently the Manager of Human Resources at the Township of Scugog and previously held positions at Lakeridge Health and Rouge Valley Health System.
