Road Work Ahead

Description:

  • York Region is replacing a culvert on Warden Avenue, north of Doane Road
  • Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road
  • A three-week road closure is required to complete the replacement

Duration:

  • July 2025 to August 2025

Impacts to travellers:

  • Work will occur Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Road closure

  • Warden Avenue from Doane Road to Hornes Road will be closed at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025
  • Traffic will not be permitted through the culvert location during the closure
  • Access to homes and businesses will be maintained; however, those with properties to the south of the culvert can access Warden Avenue only from the south and those with properties to the north, only from the north
  • Following the road closure, final work and restoration on Warden Avenue will occur
