“As we celebrate Pride Month in East Gwillimbury, we proudly express our solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and affirm the values of inclusion, respect, and equity,” said Mayor Virginia Hackson. “Pride is a time to honour the courage and contributions of those who have advocated, and continue to advocate, for the right to live authentically. We are also thrilled to be celebrating National Indigenous History Month, which is a time to celebrate and honour diverse Indigenous culture and traditions, as well as acknowledge the rich history, heritage, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. Our Town is stronger and more vibrant because of the diversity within it, and we remain committed to fostering a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and celebrated.”

East Gwillimbury welcomes everyone to join in these events as we celebrate Pride and NIHM!
