Would you like to recognize someone for doing a random act of kindness?

Nominate a student from grades 7 and 8 who has completed a random act of kindness (without being prompted), for their chance to become the East Gwillimbury Emergency and Community Safety Services Fire Chief for the day!

Activities for the day include:

  • Opportunity to ride in the fire truck
  • Certificate presented during a Council meeting
  • Student sworn in as Fire Chief for the day by Council
  • Lunch provided by Emergency and Community Safety Services
  • Tours of all three fire stations and other Town facilities

Nominations can be submitted to fireprevention@eastgwillimbury.ca by January 31, 2024.

All submissions should include:

  • Students information
  • Picture of the student (if possible)
  • Detailed explanation of the act of kindness
