Update on Animal Services Incident

The Town of Aurora’s Animal Services division provides animal services to the Town of East Gwillimbury. On September 4, Aurora issued a statement indicating they received the third-party review from Canine Foundations Inc. regarding the May 4, 2026, Animal Services response in East Gwillimbury. Aurora has completed the required redactions of personal and identifiable information and posted the report today on the Town of Aurora website.

East Gwillimbury staff will review the report and will follow up on Aurora’s Animal Services action plan to address the review’s recommendations.
