The Town of Aurora issued a statement today regarding the May 4, 2026 death of a dog during an Animals Services response in East Gwillimbury. Following the incident, the Town of Aurora commissioned a third-party review through Canine Foundations. The statement outlined that Aurora received the report and is currently in the process of preparing the document for public release. East Gwillimbury (EG) is pleased to welcome Robyn Hulowski as the new Director of People and Belonging for the Town.

Robyn will join the Town on October 5, 2026, and brings expertise in talent and succession management, employee and labour relations, IIDEA (Indigeneity, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility), Health and Safety, and strategic leadership.

The Town of East Gwillimbury is calling on its youngest artists to put their creativity to work and help make their mark on the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.

Students in Grades 4 to 6 are invited to design the official 2026 Municipal and School Board Election “I Voted” sticker.
