As part of the Town of East Gwillimbury’s (EG) reconciliation journey, Council adopted the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UN Declaration) at the September 9, 2026, Council meeting.

Temporary Road Closure and Asphalt Paving Notice: Centre Street

Temporary full road closures and rolling lane closures will be in effect on portions of Centre Street, Main Street and Bank Street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on September 29 to accommodate final paving. Pedestrian access will always remain open and waste collection will continue as normal. The Town is working closely with our partners to help minimize impacts to school transportation during the closure.
