Before You Book

Before you book, please review the important information below:

  • Facilities are not equipped for cooking with grease – boiling water only.  The only exceptions are, the Mount Albert Lions Community Centre, the North Union Community Center, the York Trillium Room Kitchen (upstairs) and the Ross Family Complex
  • A rental deposit of $119.80 or $508.90 will apply to all rentals, based on the type of rental
  • All non-resident rentals are subject to an additional $20 charge
  • Facilities do not include buffet or head tables, gift tables, or dance floors. We do not provide tea kettles, coffee urns, dishes, or utensils
  • All alcohol-licensed functions must follow the Town of East Gwillimbury Municipal Alcohol Policy

Booking process 

Rental requests must follow our seasonal permitting policy and are accepted by season.

  • Fall/Winter Season (September–March): Requests are accepted beginning the second week of August
  • Spring/Summer Season (April–August): Requests are accepted beginning the first week of March

Please do not submit rental requests more than two months before the applicable seasonal acceptance date. Requests received earlier will be asked to resubmit closer to the opening of the booking period. Rental requests are reviewed and processed in priority sequence once the seasonal booking period opens.

Facilities

East Gwillimbury Sports Complex

The East Gwillimbury Sports Complex (EGSC) is located in Sharon, at 1914B Mount Albert Road, between Woodbine Road and Leslie Street. This facility offers a banquet hall and two ice pads that operate during the winter months and one during the summer months. Capacity and Pricing

Capacities differ depending on layout of the room.

 

Theatre Capacity

  • Canada Hall – up to 300 people
  • Canada Hall – Hall A – up to 150 people
  • Canada Hall – Hall B (includes kitchen) – up to 150 people

Banquet Capacity

  • Canada Hall – up to 220 people
  • Canada Hall – Hall A – up to 96 people
  • Canada Hall – Hall B (includes kitchen) – up to 96 people

Pricing

  • Canada Hall – $96.20 for one hour or $1,472 for 12 hours. The 12-hour rate is for statutory holiday rentals only and must be booked for 12 hours minimum. This includes New Year's Eve.
  • Canada Hall – Hall A – $64.10 for one hour
  • Canada Hall – Hall B (includes kitchen) – $77.70 for one hour

 

All fees are subject to 13% HST with the exception of the sports equipment fee.

A rental deposit of $119.80 or $508.90 will apply to all rentals, based on the type of rental.

All non-resident rentals are subject to an additional $20 charge.

Health and Active Living Plaza

The Health and Active Living Plaza (160 Jim Mortson Drive) is a destination point in our community, offering recreational, health and arts and culture programs and community services through partnerships with local community groups. You can find our Aquatic Centre, various booking rooms, an indoor playground, and much more, all under one roof.

 

Facility booking details
The Health and Active Living Plaza (HALP) features over 80,000 sq. ft. of space for you to enjoy. This facility has an Aquatic Centre, Queensville library branch, including a Makerspace and Design Studio. This facility also focuses on health and wellness, with many options such as a gymnasium with track, various booking rooms for program spaces with a teaching kitchen, and an indoor play structure.

The HALP has various rooms available to rent for different pricing options depending on capacity. 

 

Theatre capacity

  • HALP Full Gymnasium – One hour for $106.90. Sports equipment is included for an additional $35. Theatre capacity is 300 people.
  • HALP Gymnasium 1/3 – One hour for $51.80. Sports equipment is included  for an additional $35. Theatre capacity is 100 people. 
  • HALP Gymnasium 2/3 – One hour for$66.20. Sports equipment is included for an additional $35. Theatre capacity is 200 people.
  • HALP Health Services Pod (kitchen) – One hour for $76.30. Theatre capacity is 35 people and banquet capacity is 29 people.
  • HALP Public and Social Services Pod – One hour for $76.30. Theatre capacity is 60 people. Banquet capacity is 50 people.
  • HALP Track – One hour is $40.70.

Holland Landing Community Centre

The Holland Landing Community Centre (HLCC) is located at 19513 Yonge Street near many recreational amenities. Residents can enjoy library resources at the Holland Landing Public Library branch within this facility. You can also find sports courts, a skate and scooter park, splash pad, playground, and a connection the Simcoe Trail at the back of the facility.

 

Capacity and Pricing

  • York Trillium Room – The rental rate is $77.70 per hour. Statutory holidays, including New Year's Eve, require a minimum 12-hour booking at a cost of $1,239.30.
    The theatre capacity is 220 people and the banquet capacity is 180 people.
  • Simcoe Room – One hour is $25.90. The theatre capacity is 90 people and the banquet capacity is 45 people.
  • Dalhousie Room – The rental rate is $25.90 per hour. The theatre capacity is 90 people and the banquet capacity is 45 people.
  • Golden Anchor Room – The rental rate is $32.10 per hour. The theatre capacity is 90 people and the banquet capacity is 45 people.

Ross Family Complex

The Ross Family Complex (ROSS) is located at 19300 Centre Street, Mount Albert and is attached to the Mount Albert Public Library branch. This facility is also close to many trails in Mount Albert. You can hop onto the Shannon Trail just south of the facility and head west to Shannon Park, or head east to connect to the Vivian Creek Trail.

 

Capacity and Pricing

You can rent the gymnasium or one of our program rooms for various events.

  • Gym (event use) – One hour is $77.70.
  • Gym (sports use)  One hour is $42.90. Sports equipment included is an additional $35.
  • Program Room – One hour is $51.80. Capacity is 24 people.
  • Seniors Room – One hour is $51.80. Capacity is 24 people.

Mount Albert Lions Community Centre

The Mount Albert Lions Community Centre (MALCC) is located at 5057 Mount Albert Road, Mount Albert. The MALCC offers a large kitchen and a beautiful banquet hall to host your larger events. You can rent soccer fields at this location. This is a value facility and is unstaffed. Chairs and tables are available for use, but staff set up is not included.

 

Capacity and Pricing

There is one room available for rent. The minimum booking is three hours at a cost of $205.90. Additional hours are $56.00 per hour.

Statutory holidays, including New Year's Eve, require a 12-hour minimum booking at a cost of $1,007.60.

The theatre capacity is 220 people, and the banquet capacity is 180 people.

The Mount Albert Community Centre (MACC) is located at 53 Main Street in the heart of Mount Albert. This charming facility offers a large hall with a stage and kitchen.

There is one room available for rent. The minimum booking is three hours at a cost of $129.40. Additional hours are $43.20 per hour. Statutory holidays, including New Year's Eve, require a 12-hour minimum booking at a cost of $773.10.

North Union Community Centre

The North Union Community Centre (NUCC) is located at 2624 Boag Road, Queensville. The NUCC is a quaint old schoolhouse offering an accessible hall and kitchen. Enjoy the playground, picnic shelter and green space at the back of the building.

There is one room available for rent. The minimum booking is three hours at a cost of $129.40. It is an additional $29.70 per hour. Statutory holidays, including New Year's Eve, require a 12-hour minimum booking at a cost of $619.80.

Theatre capacity is 65 people and banquet capacity is 56 people.

Harvest Hills Activity Centre

Harvest Hills Activity Centre (HHAC) connects to the Phoebe Gilman Public School. The HHAC is located at 145 Harvest Hills Boulevard, East Gwillimbury.

 

The Town shares the school's gymnasium  for programming during the summer months. We offer fitness programs, cultural activities, and youth camps during the summer months with the support of the community.
