Picnic Shelters

Some East Gwillimbury (EG) picnic shelters are available to book for your next outdoor event or family gathering!

You can request to book a shelter by using the Picnic Shelter Booking Request form. To check availability, please contact us by email or call 905-478-3826.

Rates

All picnic shelter rentals are $36 per hour or $149.70 per day. There is an additional $15 surcharge for non-residents.

Sports Fields and Courts 

East Gwillimbury (EG) maintains a variety of outdoor sports fields for you to enjoy. You can book soccer pitches, baseball diamonds, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts throughout EG.

Sports fields and diamonds might close due to weather conditions. All soccer pitch and baseball diamond closures will be posted here. You can also call our field and diamond hotline at 905-478-3825 to see if your field is open.

If you get rained out, you can fill out our Rain Out Notification Form and submit it within 48 hours to receive proper credit.

Tennis and Pickleball Courts

Permit bookings take priority use over these courts. If you do not have a permit showing the court is booked, the courts run on a first come first serve basis.

The fees per court are:

  • Youth - $8.50 per hour
  • Adult - $12.10 per hours
  • Commercial Non-resident - $24.10 per hour
  • Non-profit Organization - $12.10 per day
  • Tournament - $66.40 per day

Tennis and Pickleball courts are located at:

  • Queensville Park (1590 Queensville Sideroad) - Three courts with tennis lines only
  • Ridge View Park (126 Dogwood Boulevard) - Two courts with tennis and pickleball lines
  • Shannon Park (84 King Street) - Two courts with tennis and pickleball lines
  • Holland Landing Community Centre (19513 Yonge Street) - Three courts with tennis lines only
  • Ross Family Complex (19300 Centre Street) - Two courts with pickleball lines only
  • Sharon Hills Park (191 Colonel Wayling Boulevard) - Four courts total, two with both tennis and pickleball lines painted and two with pickleball lines only)

  • Not during prime time - $12 per hour
  • Commercial non-resident (any time) - $30 per hour

*Prime rental time is Monday to Friday from 4 to 11 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

EG soccer pitches can be rented per hour and are a great place to host a friendly game or a tournament.

  • Adult full pitch - $20.60 per hour
  • Youth full pitch - $13.70 per hour
  • Commercial non-resident full pitch - $27.40 per hour
  • Youth mini pitch - $4.80 per hour
  • Youth micro mini pitch - $4.80 per hour
  • Hydro required - $29.20 per hour (additional)
  • Hydro required commercial non-resident - $45.70 per hour

An additional $85.60 applies to hourly rental fees for tournaments (per day) for up to two locations. Additional locations are $28.50.

  • Adult - $16.90 per hour
  • Youth - $10.80 per hour
  • Commercial non-resident - $29.10 per hour
  • Hydro required - $27.30 per hour
  • Hydro required commercial non-resident - $48.30 per hour

An additional $60.30 applies to hourly rental fees for tournaments (per day) for up to two locations. Additional locations are $30.10.

See a problem or spot graffiti?

EG responds to numerous incidents of vandalism and destruction of property. EG is working with York Regional Police (YRP) to review these incidents and will make efforts to press charges related to the destruction of public property.

Let's work together to keep EG's parks, trails, and facility clean and beautiful! If you spot graffiti or see a problem that needs attention on the trails, parks, or natural areas, you can report it to us in one of the following ways:

Our parks staff will work with the Town's by-law department and YRP to increase patrols and prevent further incidents. Graffiti is a crime and should be reported to York Regional Police.
