File Number: Bathurst Street and South Road

Applicant Name: SLI Towers Inc.

The Telecommunication Tower application proposes a 60m slim self-support style tower to address the poor cellular service issues that directly and positively impact connectivity in the area. The slim self-support style tower design has been selected as the most efficient tower type to support equipment for future co-location services and the elevation required to meet the application objective. This height is required to provide optimal coverage to the area for voice and data use. More importantly, this height will also allow other carriers to co- locate on the proposed tower in the future, which will limit the overall number of tower structures required in the Town of East Gwillimbury. The proposed tower will include a locked and electronically monitored mechanical equipment shelter. Fencing will be installed around the base of the tower and the equipment shelter will include one locked gated access point.

Development Timeline and Protocol

A telecommunication tower application typically takes around 120 days to process, which includes the review period and public consultation phase, as outlined by Industry Canada guidelines; however, the exact timeframe can vary depending on the municipality and the complexity of the application. The telecommunication tower protocol can be found on the Town's Telecommunication Tower page.
